Eve Pearl Ultimate Eye Palette and 105 Crease Brush review and photos.

Eve Pearl

Let it be known, I am not a lover of makeup palettes in general.  If you have been with me for a while, you may have noticed I do not review or use many palettes.  Simply reasoned, there always seems to be one or two colors that do not suit my tastes; I rather invest in single shades I know I will use and love.  With that being said, leave it to the Eve Pearl Ultimate Eyeshadow Palette ($40 USD/ 7.2 g) to be the exception to my no-palette rule.  The creamy texture and vibrant colors coupled with her 105 Crease Brush ($28 USD), make an unbeatable and irresistible combination.  I hope you enjoy.

  • The compact for the Ultimate Eye Palette is the same size as the the EP Bronzing Trio (reviewed here).  The sleek gunmetal grey casing, thin design and distortion free mirror make this one of the most attractive and efficient palette styles on the market.
  • The price/amount ratio, at the full retail value of $40, works out to be @ $6.60/1.2 grams for each eyeshadow color.  Considering I snagged mine during the Eve Pearl Black Pearl sale for $20 (to add to my Christmas basket), I would say I made out like a bandit.
  • Each pan appears rather compact, but I did not encounter any product cross-contamination when placing my brush in any of the colors.
  • The rectangular well on the right side, serves as a reserve if one wants to add a mixing medium or water to intensify any of the colors.
  • Another alluring quality, is the inconspicuous detailed application tips printed on the back of the box.

  • As with all of Eve Pearl’s powders, the double pigmented and pressed claim ensures the most vibrant color payoff.  As you can imagine, the texture of each shade is buttery soft–you literally need the gentlest touch to get the most striking results.
  • The palette contains three matte shades and three shimmer shades.  To my eye, the lightest matte shade (1) contains the faintest hint of pearl, making the finish appear creamier and smoother.  The shimmer shades are not flashy in the least, in fact, any of these colors can be worn individually on the lid without looking ostentatious.
  • Shade 1 is a rich pinky beige matte shade to be used as an all over lid and brow bone color.
  • Shade 2 is a silky smooth golden coppery color–intended as a blending color (this is my favorite color).
  • Shade 3 is a warm pink with the finest golden pearl–intended to add warmth to each shade–I sometimes use this hue as a blush.
  • Shade 4 is a deep matte brown–intended to be used as a liner or to deepen the outer corners.
  • Shade 5 is a warm green shade–intended to contour or add depth to the other two darker colors.
  • Shade 6 is a matte black that seems to be purposefully muted, as to not to give too much intensity all at once.

  • In all honesty, I have been wanting this brush for years, ever since I began watching Eve Pearl on Youtube.  I purchased mine during the Eve Pearl Black Pearl Sale for $16.
  • On my deep-set eyes, the small dense head fits the contour of the crease perfectly.  When the brush head is positioned horizontally, I’m able to get right into my socket and create a clean, yet, diffused line.  When positioned vertically, the rounded edge blends-out color over my socket bone beautifully, right into my transition shade.
  • The origins of the brush hairs is unknown (my guess would be goat or badger), but surprisingly they are not scratchy.  In fact, this brush is especially brilliant at blending out rippled eyeshadow. When eyeshadow gets caught on a dry primer and/or if lids are more mature, color can sometimes snag on skin during application, resulting in a rippling effect (my term).
  • I suspect this brush is capable of eliminating those ripples, because the short dense hairs are gradually cut and able to catch and blend out color from any direction and/or angle.

Brush Size Comparisons:
Chikuhodo Z-5, Eve Pearl 105 Crease Brush, MAC 219.

  • As you can tell from the above photo, the Eve Pearl 105 Crease brush is the smallest of the lot. Admittedly, it is not as luxurious as my Chikuhodo, but quite frankly, 105’s size and density can be used to create an entire eye look (see looks below).  I can also see the petite size appealing to those with smaller eyes and those seeking more precise color application.

  5. Shade 3 was used to add warmth to the crease.
  6. Shade 2 and 4 were used on the lower lash line.
  7. Add your favorite creamy nude pencil on the lower waterline, black liner and mascara and you are done.
  • This look lasted beautifully for 11 hours without any creasing or fading over my NYX primer.

  4. Use Shade 2 to blend out any harsh edges on the mobile lid–without disturbing the inner corner.
  5. Mix Shade 2, 3, and 4 lightly into the crease and blend-out upwardly.
  6. Use Shade 4 to deepen the outer v.
  7. Apply Shade 4 and 2 to the lower lash line.

Makeup would state the obvious–Eve Pearl Ultimate Eyeshadow Palette and 105 Crease Brush are fabulous.  The buttery smooth texture, fantastic wear, vibrant results and versatile brush function are enough incentive to invest in more colors and tools.  Personally, the Au Natural Palette, Diamond Palette and the 107 Brush are call my name.  Oh..who am I kidding–I’ll take the whole lot.  🙂
