YSL 12 Moca Garçonne Baby Doll Kiss & Blush review and comparisons.

YSL 12 Moca Garconne

To be quite honest, I was not looking to add another cream blush to my collection.  Although I love the look, feel and staying power of these types of blushes, I was rather content with my current powder blush routine.  However, things took a drastic turn when I set out to find the perfect accompanying nude topper shade to go with my Dose of Colors Truffle.  Banking on my past success of YSL 11 Prune Impertinente (reviewed here)YSL 12 Moca Garçonne Baby Doll Kiss & Blush ($40 USD/ 10 ml) was thus purchased without a moment’s hesitation.  I hope you enjoy!

YSL 12 Moca Garconne

YSL 12 Moca Garconne

YSL 12 Moca Garconne

Pros to YSL 12 Moca Garçonne Baby Doll Kiss and Blush:

  1. Beautiful light mocha color with rosy undertones.
  2. Unbelievably smooth texture and finish.
  3. Office appropriate for the lips and cheeks (matte finish on the face).
  4. On my dry skin, the color remained true for 8 hours with slight fading thereafter.
  5. Due to the mousse-like texture, Moca can be layered on the cheeks without any patchiness throughout the day.
  6. Can also be used as a base for powdered blushes.
  7. Ideal shade for light/medium skins with warm/golden/neutral undertones.
  8. Makes an attractive topper shade for dry “nude-y ” lipsticks.
  9. When used on the lips, color does not bleed into fine lines.
  10. Applicator head is ergonomically designed to reach the edges of the mouth perfectly.
  11. Flexible head is coated with soft closely cut fibers for optimal product placement.
  12. Sturdy thick glass container looks and feels luxe.
  13. Convenient packaging makes touch-ups a breeze.
  14. Does not contain any mineral oil or parabens.
  15. Contains a whopping 10 ml of product…will last quite a while.
  16. Made in France.

Cons to YSL 12 Moca Garçonne Baby Doll Kiss & Blush:

  1. Not long-lasting on the lips–you get an hour worth of wear.
  2. Not the ideal shade for darker skinned beauties.
  3. Definitely, not for the all natural beauty lover–this is basically whipped silicone in a jar.
  4. Does not fully set on the lips or cheeks.
  5. Contains the signature YSL mango/watermelon scent present in all of their lip products (some love it, others cannot tolerate it).
  6. FYI, despite the marketing claims, this formula does not yield a completely matte look on the lips–not necessarily a bad thing, but worth noting.

YSL 12 Moca Garçonne Baby Doll Kiss & Blush as a lipstick:

YSL 12 Moca Garconne

YSL 12 Moca Garconne Baby Doll Kiss & Blush lip swatch.

  • As you can tell from the above photo, the finish of this color is not completely matte.  I found pressing my lips together mattified the color, but after a few seconds a slight glossiness reemerged.
  • As expected with lighter colors, the staying power is rather limited.  On this day, the color held up for an hour, leaving behind slightly dry lips.
  • It is worth noting, this particular color has a great amount of slip (maybe a little too much) and has the uncanny ability to break down many bases.  I find the Kiss & Blush formula is able to maintain its composure the longest when paired with the driest of matte liquid lipsticks.  Lime Crime Matte Liquid Lipsticks make excellent bases for this formula.
  • Dose of Colors Truffle (reviewed here) matches Moca perfectly; the matte texture in Truffle absorbs most of the glossiness in Moca, leaving behind a velvety finish.  However, since DOC is not as drying as LC, touch-ups are necessary after 4 hours.

YSL 12 Moca Garçonne Baby Doll Kiss & Blush as a cheek color:

YSL 12 Moca Garconne

Wearing YSL 12 Moca Garconne Baby Doll Kiss & Blush on the cheeks with YSL 11 Prune Impertinente Baby Doll Kiss & Blush on the lips.

  • Against my olive complexion, the underlying rosy undertones found in YSL 12 Moca Garçonne are quite evident. On this day, I was rather rushed and omitted my typical highlighter and bronzer colors.  However, I found this blush held its own well, providing just the right amount of flush without making me look one-dimensional or dull.
  • Bear in mind, due to the sheer texture of this color, layering is advisable to achieve desirable results, especially on medium complexions.  For the above look, two well-blended layers were applied to the apples of the cheeks.  Admittedly, this color performs better on the cheeks then on the lips–Moca lasted a solid 8 hours in a humid pool environment.
  • In my experience, placing the color on my ring finger (straight from the applicator), as opposed to placing the product directly on the cheeks, yields smoother results.

Cream Blush Comparisons:
Chanel 61 Destiny Le Blush De Chanel, YSL 12 Moca Garçonne, YSL #3 Creme De Blush.

  • Chanel 61 Destiny Le Blush De Chanel (2.5 g discontinued) is a terra-cotta color, with slightly less pink than Moca.  The cream to powder finish lasts extremely well and the convenient wide surface area makes for optimal product accessibility.
  • On first impression, YSL 12 Moca Garçonne Baby Doll Kiss & Blush (10 ml) looks very similar to the others, however when viewed side by side, Moca’s underlying pink pigment is clearly seen.  This formula is also glossier and more malleable then the others, making application, layering and touch-ups effortless.
  • YSL #3 Creme De Blush (5.5 g discontinued ) was YSL’s original cream blush formula and has since been replaced by the Kiss & Blush line.  Quite frankly, this formula was one of the best cream blushes on the market.  #3 seems to be the more concentrated version of Moca, with slightly less pink in its mix.  Both colors apply with ease, however, #3 possesses less slip and glossiness.

THE VERDICT:  If Makeup Could Talk what would it say?

Makeup would tell you YSL 12 Moca Garçonne Baby Doll Kiss & Blush is a lovely shade indeed.  These types of rosy brown colors are absolutely gorgeous on olive skins.  Despite the poor wear time on the lips, I find myself utilizing Moca as a blush on most days.  This color performs well on its own and layered with powder blushes.  I guess I must really love this formula, considering I just ordered another two colors as part of my Christmas gifts.  Do you own any Kiss and Blush colors?  Will you be getting any?  Are you ready to partake in my addiction?  Come on–you know you want to.  🙂  Until next time, be well, stay safe and be happy.

Things I Have Been Loving: Volume 3.

Things I Have Been Loving:

Things I Have Been Loving.

I don’t know about anyone else, but the ridiculously cold weather has transformed my outdoorsy nature, and reduced it to hermit status.  I have absolutely no desire to brave the cold temperatures; unnecessary stops (aka: department store detours) have been temporarily ceased.  As a result, instead of impulsively buying more makeup, I have decided to “shop my stash” and pair some of my newest acquisitions with some old reliable(s).  I hope you enjoy this edition of Things I Have Been Loving.

Things I Have Been Loving: Kjaer Weis Magnetic

Things I Have Been Loving:
Kjaer Weis Magnetic topped with Giorgio Armani Eye and Brow 9 Gold.

 Kjaer Weis Divine Eyeshadow

Things I Have Been Loving:
Kjaer Weis Divine Eyeshadow topped with Giorgio Armani Eye and Brow 9 Gold.

  • Kjaer Weis Magnetic and Divine Eyeshadows have become a bit of an obsession.  Rather than ignoring my other silicone lovelies, I decided pairing them would be the most logical solution.
  • Giorgio Armani Eye and Brow 9 Gold applies beautifully on top of Magnetic and Divine eyeshadows, giving the normally conservative duo a bit of pizzaz.
  • Guerlain 02 Bleu Outremer has also been used faithfully since its purchase.  The deep navy liner adds an elegant touch to all my looks and the hassle-free removal at night makes this gem even more alluring.
  • Billy B #12 Brush works beautifully with KW shadows to apply my outer “v” color with blended precision.
  • Trish McEvoy #29 Tapered Brush has been in my collection for years.  This brush is not the softest around, but the perfectly tapered head is ideal for applying and smoking out just the right amount of color to my lower lash line, using minimal effort.
Kjaer Weis Radiance Highlighter .

Things I Have Been Loving:
Kjaer Weis Radiance Highlighter used as an eyeshadow with MAC Uninterrupted on the lower lash line.

  • Kjaer Weis Radiance Highlighter has been used as a cheek highlighter, an inner corner highlighter and an illuminating stand alone eyeshadow. The 95% organic ingredients and fantastic wear has morphed me into a KW groupie 🙂
  • MAC Uninterrupted has been in my collection for three years.  This warm sepia color looks amazing when worn on the lower lash line, as a stand alone color on the mobile lid, and in the crease.  Frankly, this is one eyeshadow that can do it all and look amazing against any eye color.
  • Waxelene is a wonderful all natural/organic petroleum jelly alternative.  This wonderful product was brought to my attention by, Olivia from The Unknown Beauty Blog (here).  Her honest and detail reviews are always filled with the most helpful tips.  For instance, did you know you can use Waxelene to help press pigments?  No?  Well, Olivia has shown us the light (here).  Personally, this jar was purchased with the intent to relieve dry skin on my legs.  Not only does it work beautifully on the entire body, but I have also used this emollient wonder as a facial moisturizer (in moderation). This product is very similar to Egyptian Magic, without the overly hard texture and inflated price.
  • MAC Cosmetics Pro Palette Single is sturdy and reasonably priced.  At $8 USD, this customizable palette houses my powder foundation, eyeshadows and powder highlighter–a steal considering the competitor’s product is almost 3x as much and made from cardboard.
Essie Topless and Barefoot brush

Things I Have Been Loving:
Essie Topless and Barefoot brush switched for a Wet N Wild Megalast brush.

Essie Topless and Barefoot

Essie Topless and Barefoot with WnW top (taken in natural light).

Essie Topless and Barefoot

Essie Topless and Barefoot with WnW top (taken with flash).

  • Essie Topless and Barefoot has been used approximately twice in the past two years.  The thin brush and thick formula never really worked well together to give an even application on my wide nail beds. However, since I decided to change the brush head for a wider more substantial brush, like the one found on Wet n Wild Megalast polishes, application is fast and easy.  This opaque color levels out beautifully by the second coat, giving professional looking results.  Even though Topless and Barefoot chips within two days, I love the clean refined look this shade gives the hands.  Removal is a breeze (as with all light polishes) and a fresh manicure can be achieved in no time–thanks to the thicker brush.
Things I Have Been Loving

Things I Have Been Loving in Action.

Shiseido and Girlactik

Things I Have Been Loving:
Girlactik Demure Matte Lip Paint topped with Shiseido RD203 Lacquer Rouge.

  • YSL 11 Prune Impertinente Baby Doll Kiss and Blush light mousse-like texture gives the most realistic flush to the cheeks.  Should you require a long-lasting “cream” blush, then look no further than this product.
  • Girlactik Demure Matte Lip Paint is just as important in my collection as her equally beguiling sister, Allure.  Both colors have freed me from ever having to wear lipliner.  Demure looks amazing on her own and especially paired with RD203.
  • Shiseido Lacquer Rouge RD203 is my perfect “nude” lip shade.  This particular tube has been in my collection for three years and it’s still going strong.  When paired with Demure, the results are flattering against my olive complexion.  Both RD203 and RD702 (mid-tone red-brown) bond with Demure and last well over the five-hour mark, all the while, remaining glossy and hydrating on the lips. Why I ever turn my back on these, I will never know.

THE VERDICT:  If makeup could talk what would it say?

Makeup would tell you some of these products have proven themselves to be rather dependable in my life. When paired with some newbies, the results are even better.  In the meanwhile, I’m off to photograph and test some new Kjaer Weis blushes that were generously gifted to me by my husband.  Will they perform as well as YSL #11?  Stay tuned.  Until next time, be well, stay safe, be happy and warm 🙂

Best of Beauty 2014.

Best of Beauty 2014 products in action.

Best of Beauty 2014 products in action.

This past year has proven to be quite an extraordinary time for cosmetics.  Velvety smooth matte lipsticks, hybrid gloss/stain lip products, rich eyeshadow textures and colors, and amazing cream shadows and liners seem to have dominated the industry.  We can only hope 2015 will bring us even more phenomenal creations.  Without further ado, I present my personal highlights from this past year.  I hope you enjoy!

Best of Beauty 2014 Eyes:

Best of Beauty 2014 Face:

  •  Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter is my facial moisturizer during the winter months.  My overly dry skin soaks up this rich cream like a sponge, leaving a feeling of complete hydration for the entirety of the day.
  • Guerlain Lingerie De Peau Nude Powder Foundation is the belle of the ball.  This powder foundation is smooth, hydrating, convenient, and long-lasting.  I cannot think of the last time a foundation has impressed me as much.
  • Dior Star Concealer is hands down the best concealer I have ever used.  The creamy formula glides on the skin and stays in place beautifully throughout the day.

Best of Beauty 2014 Cheeks:

Best of Beauty 2014 Lips:

  • Girlactik Allure Matte Lip Paint is technically a liquid lipstick, but I use this mainly in place of a lipliner. The smooth non-drying, long-lasting formula makes lips impervious to feathering.  So smitten was I with this formula, the color Demure (review coming soon) became the newest addition to my makeup family.
  • Lipstick Queen Velvet Rope Lipsticks have been praise to no end on this blog.  I cannot think of another matte lipstick that can even match the texture and silky smooth feel of this line.
  • YSL Rouge Pur Couture The Mats are wonderful matte lipstick formulations.  These babies adhere to the lips instantly and leave the most potent stain behind.
  • Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Lipsticks came with a promise of hydration, longevity and comfortable wear.  The subtle sheen finish was designed to make lips appear more plump.  Judging by the four tubes in my possession, it is safe to say, I’m sold!
  • Dior Addict Fluid Sticks have been such a wonderful investment.  The lightweight texture and cooling sensation instantly awakens any look, especially when worn over a drying lipstick.
  • Chanel Rouge Allure Gloss 20 Audace is the perfect mauve brown shade.  I love to pair this with Girlactik Allure Matte Lip Paint for the ultimate sophisticated lip look.

Best of Beauty 2014 Brushes:
Chikuhodo Z-8, Z-4, Z-5 Philosophy Supernatural Airbrush Brush, Wayne Goss Brush 01, Tom Ford Cream Foundation Brush, Billy B #12, Laura Mercier Finishing Eye Brush, Memebox Eye Brushes.

  • Chikuhodo Z-Series brushes are the most exquisite brushes I have ever used.   These brushes are meant to be used with powder products only.  The soft bristles blend the most pigmented powders to professional perfection.
  • Philosophy Supernatural Airbrush Brush is an oldie but a goodie that was resuscitated for use with my Guerlain Powder Foundation.  The soft dense synthetic bristles effectively works powder into the skin, giving flawless results.
  • Wayne Goss Brush 01 is a wonderful brush that works especially well with liquid foundations.  Currently, I use this brush to apply my cream and/or powder highlighter.
  • Tom Ford Cream Foundation Brush is used for blush and/or contour  application.  The small dense head is perfect for accurate product placement.
  • Billy B #12 Brush is used everyday for blending out gel liners, powder eyeshadows and for my outer corner color application.  The dual fiber angled design is perfect for hard to reach places.
  • Laura Mercier Finishing Eye Brush has been in my collection for years.  I recently started to utilize this gem to blend out my concealer for amazing results!
  • Memebox Brushes are meant for travel, but the short handles and brush head designs are perfect for everyday use.  In addition, the affordable price makes this set an even more attractive offering.

Estee Lauder Insolent Plum Pure Color Nail Lacquer (with flash).

  • Estee Lauder Insolent Plum Pure Nail Color is my favorite color from 2014.  The cream formula is classic and appropriate for many occasions.  Best of all, the Estee Lauder’s formula removes easily without color bleeding or staining of the nails.

Giorgio Armani 503 Daybreak Cheek Fabric Blush review and photos.

Giorgio Armani 503 Daybreak Cheek Fabric.

Giorgio Armani 503 Daybreak Cheek Fabric Blush.

Giorgio Armani 503 Daybreak Cheek Fabric.

Giorgio Armani 503 Daybreak Cheek Fabric Blush.

Giorgio Armani does have a wonderful makeup line; in particular the Sheer Blushes have a sophisticated formula and finish.  The micro-shimmers are not overly abundant and the luminosity that is produced is youthful and flattering.  So when Giorgio Armani Cheek Fabric Blush ($46 USD/ 4g) was introduced as, “vibrant, tactile colors in the thinnest, softest textures to brighten the face and highlight cheekbones for the ultimate glow,” I knew 503 Daybreak would be the color for me.  Would this, could this be a replacement for my broken GA Sheer Blush 10 Beige?  You’ll see.

Giorgio Armani 503 Daybreak Cheek Fabric.

Giorgio Armani 503 Daybreak Cheek Fabric Blush.

The Pros of Giorgio Armani 503 Daybreak Cheek Fabric Blush:

  1. Beautiful pink/peach color infused with pink and gold micro-shimmers.
  2. Color closely resembles Giorgio Armani Sheer Blush 10 Beige.
  3. Lasts for 4-5 hours when applied dry, 6-8 hours when applied with a dampened brush.
  4. Smooth lightweight formula.
  5. Sheer finish can be built up for more intense color payoff.
  6. Ideal for lighter complexions.
  7. Can be layered over cream blushes or darker powered blushes for added dimension.
  8. Small compact can fit easily in any makeup bag.
  9. Sizable mirror is included.
  10. Formulated without parabens or mineral oil and fragrance-free.

The Cons of Giorgio Armani 503 Daybreak Cheek Fabric Blush:

  1. GA Cheek Fabrics contains less product and cost more (4g/$46) than GA Sheer Blushes (6g/$44).
  2. The shimmers seem to sit on top of the skin, rather than blend-out for a luminous effect.
  3. When applied with a dampened brush, 503 Daybreak does not blend-out as seamlessly as GA Sheer Blushes.
  4. Smaller surface area is not ideal for swirling a larger blush brush.
  5. The shiny packaging attracts finger prints and the snap closure seems less upscale than a magnetic closure.
  6. A dense blush brush must be used with this formula to achieve color payoff, especially on darker complexions.

Giorgio Armani 503 Daybreak Cheek Fabric vs. Giorgio Armani Sheer Blush 10 Beige.

Giorgio Armani 503 Daybreak Cheek Fabric Blush vs. Giorgio Armani Sheer Blush 10 Beige.

Cheek Fabric’s petite shiny packaging is truly adorable, along with the Giorgio Armani emblem on the snap closure. This is a matter of personal preference, but I must admit, I prefer GA Sheer Blushes’ matte packaging and the name Giorgio Armani written out across the magnetic closure.

Giorgio Armani 503 Daybreak Cheek Fabric with Tom Ford Cheek Brush.

Giorgio Armani 503 Daybreak Cheek Fabric Blush with Tom Ford Cheek Brush.

I find it a bit awkward  to swirl my Tom Ford Cheek Brush (reviewed here) in this compact; the brush head simply overpowers the blush area.

Giorgio Armani 503 Daybreak Cheek Fabric Blush dampened swatch, dry swatch vs. Giorgio Armani Sheer Blush 10 Beige dry swatch and dampened swatch.

As you can tell by the photos, Giorgio Armani 503 Daybreak Cheek Fabric Blush is quite a sheer blush when applied dry; however, when the blush is applied with a dampened brush, the color deepens and the seamlessness is somewhat compromised.  A definite line a demarkation is noticeable and a decent amount of blending is required for acceptable results.  In person, Giorgio Armani 503 Daybreak Cheek Fabric also has more micro-shimmers scattered throughout the formula in comparison to GA Sheer Blush 10 Beige.

Giorgio Armani 503 Daybreak Cheek Fabric Blush worn over YSL 11 Prune Impertinente Baby Doll Kiss and Blush (reviewed here).

Giorgio Armani Sheer Blush 10 Beige, oddly enough, has a deeper base color than 503 Daybreak Cheek Fabric.  However, 503 Daybreak looks particularly lovely when paired with a cream blush or blended with other deeper toned powder blushes.

Giorgio Armani 503 Daybreak Cheek Fabric Blush can be found at Nordstrom, giorgioarmanibeauty-usa.com, Saks, etc..

THE VERDICT:  If makeup could talk what would it say?

Makeup would tell you Giorgio Armani 503 Daybreak Cheek Fabric Blush is a lovely color indeed, especially suited for lighter complexions and those individual that want a no-makeup makeup look.  Even though the formula is ultra-lightweight, the color is beautiful and the packaging is charming, nothing will replace GA Sheer Blush 10 Beige in my eyes.  Go check them out and decide for yourself.  In the meanwhile, Giorgio Armani is having a 20% Friends and Family sale until 6/30/14–spend $75 to receive 20% off on your total purchase.  Guess what I’ll be getting.  I hope you found this helpful.  Be well, stay safe and be happy.

  4. Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse is a dry oil–great summer time facial moisturizer, but I like to combine it with Alba Un-Petrolum as my spring time facial moisturizer.
  5. Tom’s Fluoride-Free Toothpaste.

Current Favorites–TV Shows:

  1. Mad Men.
  2. Covert Affairs…amazing..especially season 3 and 4.
  3. Suits…Gabriel Macht was born to play Harvey Spector.
  4. Grimm.
  5. Orphan Black.

THE VERDICT:  If makeup could talk what would it say?

Makeup would tell you most of these products have been in my rotation for years, some have recently crept their way into my routine and others are seasonal delicacies.  Regardless, I love them all.  What are some of your favorites?  Be well and stay safe.

YSL 11 Prune Impertinente Baby Doll Kiss and Blush review, photos and comparisons.

YSL 11 Prune Impertinente Baby Doll Kiss and Blush.

For the longest time, women have been using their lipsticks as multi-taskers.  Presumably, swiping the same shade on the lips and cheeks seemed advantageous during a busy morning routine.  Was it a matter of convenience, a time saver, laziness, or lack of blusher choices?  Whatever the reasoning, it was genius! So when YSL created their new 2-in-1 Baby Doll Kiss and Blush products, I knew a personal in-store visit was in order.  YSL 11 Prune Impertinente Baby Doll Kiss and Blush ($40 USD/10ml) was the color that was unique in my mini cream blush collection.  The wine tone and handy packaging was grounds for immediate purchase.  According to YSL:

Kiss your cheeks. Blush your lips. Play with color and mix and match your lips and cheeks. Yves Saint Laurent introduces the latest innovation in the edgy Baby Doll attitude. This 2 in 1 ultra blendable air whipped mousse beautifully highlights your lips and cheeks with a sensual soft matte finish. Available in 12 signature YSL shades.

The Pros of YSL 11 Prune Impertinente Baby Doll Kiss and Blush:

  1. Beautiful soft wine/plum color–great color for medium and darker skins.
  2. Packaged in a sturdy glass container (I prefer glass so the product does not dry out..some may not).
  3. Portable compact packaging for on-the-go lip color and blush application.
  4. Can be worn softly or opaque.
  5. Soft smooth mousse-like texture.
  6. Velvet matte finish.
  7. Lightweight, non sticky formula.
  8. Non-drying formula makes reapplication on the lips a pleasure.
  9. A fresh layer can be applied over an existing layer without looking caky or bleeding into fine lines around the lips.
  10. Wears off evenly on the lips with a noticeable stain left behind.
  11. Intense color payoff and longevity when used as a blush.
  12. Colors can be mixed and matched to create your own custom color.
  13. A powder blush can be worn on top to create another custom color.
  14. Typical “watermelon” scent..similar to YSL cream blushes.  Not as strong as YSL Rouge Volupte.
  15. Amazing applicator can be used to create sharp edges and to deposit light or full coverage.
  16. Formulated without mineral oil or parabens (however, silicones are the main ingredients).

The Cons to YSL 11 Prune Impertinente Baby Doll Kiss and Blush:

  1. Very expensive–however, the amount given is amazing 10ml/$40 USD compared to 6ml/$32 USD for Chanel Rouge Extrait De Gloss (which does not last on me at all).
  2. Lasting power on the lips is 2½-3 hours.
  3. Lighter colors may have less lasting power on the lips.
  4. Dries quickly when used as a blush–prompt blending is required.
  5. Glosses will break down the color and cause bleeding into fine lines–tread lightly.
  6. Exclusive in-store to Nordstrom..online ordering is a must for those who do not have access to Nordstrom.

When used as a blush, YSL 11 Prune Impertinente Baby Doll Kiss and Blush had outstanding lasting power.  The above photos show how the color appears when worn together on the lips and cheeks.  My Wayne Goss Brush 01 (reviewed here) sheered out this very intense shade beautifully.  Personally, I do not have any plum cream blushes in my collection, therefore, 11 PI was my obvious choice.  I was tempted by the other pink colors in the line-up, but I have my Chanel 64 Inspiration (reviewed here) from last year and could not justify the purchase of another pink cream blush.

When paired with Buxom Kir Royale, the longevity on the lips was dramatically reduced.  The above lip combo lasted an hour and half before I experienced feathering of the color into my fine lines.

THE VERDICT:  If makeup could talk what would it say?

Makeup would tell you, even though the concept of a lipstick worn as a blush is not incredibly innovative, I must admit YSL 11 Prune Impertintente Baby Doll Kiss and Blush formula has won me over.  The smooth texture, velvety matte finish on the lips, portable packaging, amazing longevity on the cheeks, buildable coverage, and fantastic color selection are all encompassed in this 2-in-1 product.  I am quite content with my selection.  Say you will try at least one..yes?  Be well and stay safe.
