Dior Addict Fluid Sticks ($35 USD/5.5 ml) are quickly becoming an obsession. The smooth, vibrant, lightweight formula is so comfortable to wear, I truly believe I have become a Dior Addict 🙂 My recent procurement, 975 Minuit has proven to be just as alluring as 893 Trompe L’Oeil (reviewed here). As soon as I tried on this color, the sale associate insisted I purchase it over any other color. To my surprise, she also supplied me with four sample colors to try: 338 Mirage, 551 Aventure, 575 Wonderland, and 754 Pandore. For your viewing pleasure, I present all of my Dior Addict Fluid Stick swatches thus far. I hope you find this helpful.
Everything that was stated about 893 Trompe L’Oeil applies to 975 Minuit. The only difference being, 975 Minuit leaves behind a more noticeable stain when the color has worn-off. Minuit is a deep red with slight brown undertones, it can be applied lightly or full-on for a more dramatic look. The gel-like formula glides on the lips like butter. The high shine and hydrating properties make Dior Fluid Sticks perfect companions for traditional lipstick formulas. I love to pair Dior Fluid Sticks with Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Lipsticks (reviewed here) to give my lips a more plump and vibrant appearance. This coupling lasted beautifully for 5 hours without feeling dry or feathering into my fine lines.

The specially designed applicator hugs the lips perfectly to deposit just the right amount of color with one swipe. Dior Fluid Stick 975 Minuit lasts approximately 3 hours on its own; however, when paired with a lipliner or “regular” lipstick, I am able to get 4-5 hours of wear.

As expected, the delicate staining effect is quite evident with the darker colors. 338 Mirage did not last long at all–as seen by the lack of pigment left behind after one swipe with a makeup wipe. Minuit and Pandore wore the best out of the lot and the pink stain that remained was quite flattering.
According to the lovely sale associate at my Macy’s counter, Dior comprised this packet based on the assumption these four colors will be their biggest sellers. I cannot fully agree with that assumption…I adore the darker shades, although 219 Whisper Beige (not in the sample packet) would make a great topper shade for darker lip colors. I tried it on combined with Minuit and the resulting shade was beautiful.
Dior Addict Fluid Sticks are now available at Sephora, Nordstrom, Dior.com, Macys, etc…
THE VERDICT: If makeup could talk what would it say?
Makeup would tell you if you have not tried Dior Addict Fluid Sticks, you need to rectify that oversight immediately. I really cannot stress how lovely these lipstick hybrids apply, wear and feel. The vast selection of color choices also makes it easy for anyone to find a suitable color to their liking. I found three and counting 🙂 Which colors do you fancy? Be well and stay safe.

I am glad that you mention the 219 Whisper Beige. I agree, I think it is too light on it’s own, but as a topper coat over darker colors, it is beautiful. Thank you!
Hello Emma,
On its own, 219 Beige Whisper was lost on my very pigmented lips, I had to pair it with more robust colors. I also put it on top of Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Lipstick in 210 Impulsive and the results were beautiful. Thank you for stopping by and commenting.

I love the look of Minuit on you! You say it is a red-brown? Come to think of it, I don’t think I have any lipsticks in that category. I have to keep this one in mind!
Hello Olivia,
If you love reds, you cannot go wrong with this color. When I initially went to buy one of these Fluid Sticks, my husband and the sale associate insisted I get this color. I went with only one (893 Trompe L’Oeil) to see if I liked the formula–clearly I do 🙂 The gel-like texture allows one to wear them sheerly or opaquely. I hope you get a chance to try these soon. Thank you for the compliment and support.
